What are the core points of the home appliance mold processing process?

Hits:11

In the field of home appliance manufacturing, the quality of molds is a key factor in determining product quality, production efficiency and cost. The processing process of home appliance molds is complicated, involving multiple processes and multiple technologies. Problems in any link may lead to poor mold performance and unsatisfaction with customers, which will ultimately affect the quality of home appliances. Today, Pujuni Precision Mold will tell you the core precautions in the processing process of home appliance molds.
1. Processing accuracy control
Home appliance molds require extremely high accuracy, and slight size deviations may lead to poor assembly of the product or failure of function. During the processing process, the accuracy of each process must be strictly controlled. For CNC machining, it is necessary to ensure the accuracy and stability of the machine tool and conduct regular equipment maintenance and calibration. There is also regular training and learning from processing masters. During processing, select appropriate tool and cutting parameters, and reasonably adjust the cutting speed, feed amount and cutting depth according to the hardness and processing requirements of the mold material to ensure the accuracy of the processing size. For some key sizes and surfaces, such as parting surfaces, cavity and cores, high-precision processing equipment and processing processes, such as slow-travel wire cutting, electric spark processing, etc., to ensure that the design requirements are met and surface roughness are met. In addition, the final sample must be verified by the team leader or the quality inspection department.
2. Heat treatment process
The heat treatment process is an important process to improve the performance of the mold and can improve the properties of the mold material such as hardness, strength, toughness and wear resistance. Different mold materials and usage requirements require different heat treatment processes. For example, quenching and tempering are common heat treatment methods. Quenching can improve the hardness and strength of the mold, while tempering can eliminate quenching stress and improve the toughness of the mold. When performing heat treatment, parameters such as heating speed, insulation time and cooling speed must be strictly controlled to avoid defects such as deformation and cracking. At the same time, the mold after heat treatment also needs to be properly finished to restore the dimensional changes and surface accuracy losses caused by heat treatment. It is very particular here, and a master who has been in the industry for more than five years is generally qualified.
3. Surface treatment
Customers have high requirements for the appearance quality of home appliances, so mold surface treatment is particularly important. Common mold surface treatment methods include polishing, nitriding, electroplating and other steps. Polishing can improve the finish of the mold surface, making the surface of the molded product more smooth and beautiful; nitriding can improve the hardness and wear resistance of the mold surface, and extend the service life of the mold; electroplating can improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the mold surface, and at the same time improve the mold release performance. When performing surface treatment, you must select appropriate treatment methods according to the use requirements of the mold and the appearance requirements of the product, and strictly control the treatment process parameters to ensure that the surface treatment effect meets the requirements.
